On Sunday night of the carnival of Tolosa, the Ertzaintza loaded in the Casco Viejo and a 16-year-old boy from Villabona was seriously injured. The mass reading of the facts took place in Villabona on Tuesday evening. First, the young man's father takes the floor and explains the health of his son's eye: "You have a major injury or blow to the eye and your effect is being assessed. In fact, he had to have surgery today, but he couldn't, because the eye is very swollen. It has 12 to 15 points in the eyelid and eyebrow, the retina is displaced laterally and the blow of the received projectist causes the tear tube at the bottom of the eye to break and this does not fully recover. When leaving the intervention, the possible visual effects will be observed."
The following statements denounce the facts: "Enough. In some celebrations of the town, when people celebrate in a festive atmosphere, there are uniforms that carry. The possible consequences have been seen. I want to express my anger that this story will finally end." The foam objects launched by the Ertzaintza have been removed from the table: "These are the launchers who used the Ertzaintza in Tolosa. One of them is the one who addressed my son. Not applicable. He is sixteen years old. They have other tools to perform the actions. It's time to change things and a lot."
The young woman has been told "the encouragement, affection and protection of a whole people". He denounces the "excessive violence" of the Ertzaintza: "The only excuse we have heard is that they wanted to end a confrontation. This country knows perfectly well what the violence of the Ertzaintza is. It is time to say that it is enough. We're sick. They have no right to endanger everyone's lives with the methods they use." And it makes a specific request to those responsible: "Give clear public explanations as soon as possible. Clarify who was responsible for giving the order of the load and taking action".
The Basque community has called for this Saturday 17 February at 12:00 pm in the Plaza del Triangle de Tolosa.
