The movie 'Extra Ordinary' wins the 30th edition of the Fear Week of San Sebastian
  • The film Extra Ordinary by Mike Ahern and Enda Loughman has taken the public's prize for the Fantastic Film and Horror Week of Donostia-San Sebastián. The festival that celebrated its 30th edition was closed last Friday night.

The public has spoken: The Extra Ordinary feature film has won the Donostia-San Sebastian grand prize with the film Extra. It is not the only film on the list: in the best short film category, viewers have awarded The Burden/Het Juk, by the CEO van den Brink. The film has also received another mention, that of the jury, for the complete story it reports, which brings together many elements of classic horror films, while still being original.

In the animated short films section, the award for the best Spanish short film has been for The Illogic Master, and the Australian Stray has been awarded the prize of the International Competition for Fantastic and Terror Short Films of Donostia-San Sebastian that gives the jury of the Fantastic Film and Terror Week. The jury, composed of Fernando Iwasaki, Itziar Castro and Elisa McCausland, has unanimously decided to put the prize for Australia.

The Méliès award for the best European fantastic short film has been for Turn/Umskipti, by Sesselía Ólafsdóttir and Peter Callow, for their way of working the power relations in which the friendship relations between three girls are located.

Finally, the young jury has selected the I.S. has highlighted the short film by N’cee van Heerden; The end of all things by Norma Vila has been awarded the Syfy Award for the best film in Spanish; Bliss by Joe Begos has been awarded the Golden Logos for the best feature film and La valla with the public award for the best fanzine.
