TU
Where: Ahotsenea (Plateruena, Durango)
When: 8 December
-----------------------------------------
Scarves, umbrellas and eye holes are the protagonists of December 8 in Durango. On the last day of the fair they have joined at noon on Sunday and the densest winter atmosphere and the streets around Landako are half empty. However, there is a plan in Ahotsenea, which these days has hosted Plateruena: another four albums to warm up the presentation afternoon.
Watch Narbaiza made the presentation of the Tu-k group about to give 15:40 in the afternoon. Having digitized and mastered two models published in the 1980s – Existence (1987) and Beltza (1989) – and added three unreleased songs, the band has published the Tuka vinyl. Once the songs have been recovered, the songs are now recovered, which is the first of this stage.
The quartet has performed six songs as a preview of its work, for You to exist and look back but are eager to do new things: Txomin and Markel Uribe, Josu Aranbarri and Kajarritmos.
As its name suggests, the rhythm box is one of the hallmarks of the group's identity, just like the texts. From where we were, Tu has led us to the Ondarroa of the time to represent the melodic universes, riffs and letters of the band, in the pockets the hands that had beautiful things and pretensions in bars, coasts and gray streets, which echo some group in the area and others in Britain. In this echo, however, the images and current groups cannot be missing.
Thus, with the well-being of musicians who know how to be on the stage and the illusion to continue with their old projects, in just half an hour they have created a microclimate in Plateruena. Enough to turn around a cold umbrella house with a good taste of mouth, tasting the caramel, swallowing the desire to see a full straight. In addition, from today, as four decades ago, image projections will be made with which they were then used and new ones, as announced.
A few weeks ago, when I picked the next live chronicle, I first heard the group's work. I thought about the calculation I couldn't avoid: I was over eight years old when they published their latest work. This leap of time and, above all, the freshness that the then Martians can have today, has brought me to see live the way the Tu group takes. It's not the first time I've seen live the returns of the groups they played before we were born. But I was fatigued by a tendency to glorify the purity of the past and to chain myself into the present. Even the returns of nostalgia. Another thing is to take what has been created in the past, touch it with the hands of the present and experience in those displacements. Put existence into motion. If it is a matter of giving the receipt, the day before yesterday should receive it and give it to you from yesterday.
