The presentation was made with the slogan "EUSKORPUS, Euskaldando Artificial Intelligence", in the presence of President Imanol Pradales and three councilors of the Basque Government, in the technological park of Miramón, San Sebastián.

According to the press release distributed by the government, thanks to Euskorpus, "data packets in Basque will be developed so that manufacturers can import them into internet-connected devices, giving them the ability to function in Basque. In this way, smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, applications or digital assistants such as Siri and Alexa will have the ability to interact with users in Basque with a process to support artificial intelligence so that users of Artificial Intelligence tools can use them in this language. This investment will also boost the Basque ecosystem of artificial intelligence and data management."

Three phases are foreseen in the development of Euskorpus:

1. Planning and definition. A technical office will be set up to determine the typology of the corpus and the models to be developed (based in the Miramón Park), identifying the sectors, applications and strategic services that can benefit from it.
2. To promote the collection of linguistic corpus in Basque, to promote the development of basic models of open codes, and to develop infrastructures for secure storage, testing and validation.
3. The transfer and exploitation of language corpusas and basic open source models that are collected will be encouraged to companies, society and other European data platforms.

Euskorpusen can employ 6-7 people by the end of the year and 14-15 people by 2030.

It will be managed by a new Euskorpus association, the Euscorpora, made up of companies and institutions.
