  • I was not going to write this article, although a few months ago I had to have said Estitxu Eizagirre. I've also been a fine nose editor and journalist, so he noticed this: I have to write with the burden and stress of speaking in Basque. I had to dedicate these lines well to the laundry, but it has to be in the next article, because an agreement by the Constitutional Court has made the forest open.

The court denies the possibility of acting only in Basque and I feel that the decision we have chosen is also in the spotlight. Once the lavender infusion is prepared, I have to tell you a few things to relieve the inner burning. In fact, when the best medicinal plant is to express the pain and impossibility of its interior, do not start searching for other remedies: do not ask the medicinal plants to do the same.

The string of judicial aggression has many knots, knots that we live in day to day, that remain in our stomach or throat. By publishing what medicinal plants know in 2021, I had to answer weekly on social media "And in Spanish for when?" to the question. It's also happened to me recently on Instagram "All this you do Why not in Spanish?" Need to answer the question. I no longer justify the choice, I invite you to learn Basque. But they tend to take me badly, and the private gets me warm, which with my tiny language I'm not going to go far, for example. Making haters, who says ...

It's also happening in conferences and courses. It has touched me to hear me also speak Spanish or ask him to summarize the course in Spanish, ah, and to put the notes in bilingual so that everyone can understand it.

I have also been suggested on several occasions that I can translate my books. With Alaine Agirre I was on Twitter last September, with the pruritus and anger that this comment gives us. A writer who writes in Spanish, English or French would never be asked that question. They make us feel over and over again that we are working on a language with little courage and that translation should, of course, be made into the dominant language. I am not against returning, of course, the truth is that here it seems that the measure of success has been translated into Spanish.

After working in the militancy and the Council of Euskalgintza in Bagera Donostiako Euskaltzaleen Elkartea and the Basque group of Natul Azpeitia, I have the ideas quite clear. Today, I do not do things for the Basque, but for the Basque, and that is what makes many people not understand. Because more than one Basque has also told me that doing in Spanish could reach more people and earn more money (SIC).

The second edition of 3,500 copies is selling and after 24 talks and workshops in the first six months of this year, teaching that we are here in Basque has no price. Knowing this, it gives me the satisfaction of those who rejoice and that is my most precious wealth. And it is!
