- Doinuele is a network of squares entirely in Euskera, composed of eight initiatives from the Basque Country: (H)ilbeltza (Baztan), Cincla (Azkoitia), Literaturia (Zarautz), Ziburuko Azoka, Hernani, Ikusi Mikusi (Sara), Lazkao and Sormene (Galdakao). They appear together on January 10 in Donostia (here you can see the full event) to present the date of each initiative. They highlight the value of the network.
"Eight millionaires in Euskera, multipurpose in Euskal Herria throughout the year", is what the initiatives that make up Doinuele offer the Basques, according to the organizers. These initiatives were carried out earlier (the Lazkao fair is the one that has the most travel and has just been held last December for 35 years) and a year ago the creation of the network among all began. This network is called Doinuele and its members value positively what collaboration gives to each initiative: "A year ago we were born, we got tangled, we have a year of experience. And we are able to say what happened at the fairs of 2023: together we have learned, we have helped each other and with each of us hard this year we come healthier."
Concrete dates for initiatives in the Doinuele network of 2024
Within the Doinuele network there are initiatives of a very diverse nature, all based on books and records entirely in Basque. Together they present the calendar of fairs and places in Basque this year:
- (H)ilbeltza in Baztan from 22 to 28 January. Acts of the black novel.
- From Serra Gela in Azkoitia, from 13 to 15 of abril.Ferias and book events written by women.
- Literature in Zarautz, from 24 to 26 of mayo.Ferias and literary events.
- Fair of Ziburu, June 1. Book and disco fair and events.
- Hernani Fair, October 5. Book and disco fair and events.
