- This Friday, 27 September, we organised a public round table on Euskera in Baiona, on the occasion of the centenary of ARGIA. The theme is “The Basque in Ipar Euskal Herria”. The main objective of the debate is for the health of the Basque Country to appear since the constitution of the Single Commonwealth of Iparralde, and we will count on the presence of Baiona Jean-Claude Iriart and member of the Single Commonwealth of Iparralde Euskal Elkargoa, Marie Andrée Ouret Biga Tatebai and the professor of Mongain sidragon Unibertea.
We want to show the present of the Basque Country, emphasizing its possibilities or shortages for the future, showing its expectations or despair. In any case, as it is necessary to look at the past to look forward, we will discuss these three points:
1. 60 years: Introduction to the Basque Country Batua in the Basque Country. 50 years after the birth of SEASKA. AEK (Gau-eskola) is 40 years old, and Euskal Irratiak is also. Institutions and movements were created from the people. Euskal Kultur Erakundea (EKE) among others.
2nd Along the way, during the constitution of the Single Commonwealth of Iparralde, the Basque Confederation and the Basque Public Entity of the Basque Language (EEP) have been and are working on it. In addition, before or after each one of them, associations and groups in favor of the Basque will participate in the meeting.
3. Currently, the Commonwealth of Iparralde was founded in 2017. We will talk about a border institution between the past and the future, we will talk about the situation of the Basque Country after the constitution of the Basque Country Elkargoa.
