Euskera as axis, Sunday will celebrate the Sortzen festival in Iruñea
  • The festival will be held in the gardens of the Taconera on May 19. It shall consist of two areas: Calle Vista Bella y Bosquecillo. This year’s motto is Euskaratik making the school of all and all, and, in this sense, the Basque will permeate the holiday day. In the following lines, the program will be developed during the day.

The inaugural event will take place at 10:45 hours in Vista Bella and, from there, a broad programming throughout the day. For the little ones, Kiki will be the children's show of the clowns Koko and Moko, and the wizard Hodei will also bring excitement, laughter, surprises and other sensations to everyone who approaches the main stage.

The music will have a wide space on the day of the party. The Galtzagorriak group of Tafalla will offer its Ska del Bosque from 12:00 hours. In the afternoon, Akiakul will dance and bring dance songs from Euskal Herria and from the world to Euskal Herria. The Sustraians Revue will immerse us in the rhythms roksteady and early reggae with versions translated into Basque of known songs. And finally, the Trikidantz Pilgrimage Group will put the final brooch to the party with their joyful and dancing songs. Throughout the day there will also be inflatables for the enjoyment of the little ones.

There will also be workshops prepared by parents: workshop of sheets, creation of an agenda, construction of a windmill and guidance, among others. For those who like it, there will also be an opportunity to learn to play the Txalaparta, and in addition, the nests of the Sahara will also be there enjoying this special day. All activities will be free of charge.

Sortzen has called for the use of public transport to get closer to the holiday area, and they have enabled a car park for those approaching by bicycle.
