- In the last three years, members of the Biltxoko association have searched for premises in the capital of Lapurdi, Gipuzkoa. In the end, they have found it and, among other things, they intend to develop a culture of supply in Basque.
There are few places in Baiona where Euskera and Euskera do nothing but target, as many spaces have disappeared year after year. However, new ones are being created in the arts and among them is the new venue that the Biltxoko association premiered on July 14. "We have opened the Biltxoko space to spread Basque and Basque culture," Ibai Agirrebarrena explained to Euskal Irratiak.
In Baiona Handia, they have acquired a place on Agustin Street thanks to a system of coaches between 120 people – they also have a waiting list for the new people who want to be part of the association. As they have pointed out, the association is also an interesting generational exchange, as it groups people between 20 and 70 years of age.
