What direction should we give to Basque education? This question will be the starting point for those who approach Seaska’s headquarters in Cambo this 15th day. The forum has been organized in collaboration with the Basque Confederation, with the aim of bringing together the “Voices of Iparralde” in the “Identification of desirable scenarios and priorities of the educational system”.
On this occasion, the debate will focus on two main axes: the sustainability and education of our people, and Community governance and cross-border cooperation. “It is the opportunity to raise our reality, to contrast it and to work on the common ground,” they explain. The objective is to address education from different perspectives, from culture, arts, socio-economics, science and technology, with the participation of multiple actors.
The organization encourages you to register on the Eusko Ikaskuntza website.
Segregation, organization, knowledge…
A week later, the forum will take you to Nafarroa Garaia. The road started in September 2021 in the forum “Hundred bridges working together the future of the educational system”, and that same year two meetings were held at the CAV: one in June in Donostia on “how to respond to multiple segregation from the educational system” and another in October in Vitoria-Gasteiz on three axes: educational diversity on equality, educational organization and education in the knowledge society.
In the midst of the spiral of the Education Bill in the CAV, Eusko Ikaskuntza wants to reflect on an educational model that broadens the view of the whole of Euskal Herria and is able to face the challenges of the future. Its purpose will be to draw up a white paper, the date for which is 2022-2023. First, the reflections carried out in the three territories that are administratively separated, with the aim of “drawing a shared itinerary” are collected. They will then have the function of collecting readings and proposals shared in the White Paper and agreeing and designing pilot experiences.
