The Feminist Movement announced a general feminist strike for the fall, and on Tuesday, The Young Women of the Basque Country* have announced that they have organized a Pooling for October 13, 14 and 15 in Usurbil to offer their own conceptions and proposals. For young feminists they have wanted to create a space to “articulate, guide and crystallize our potentiality”.

They want to accommodate their needs and proposals in the face of the strike: “Let us open a vision of our own world and be opinion makers.” In line with the reading of the Feminist Movement, they have emphasized the radical change of the care system and have called for the feminist revolution: “We have come to represent and articulate proposals for the revolution of the cysheteropatriarchal capitalist system, to collectively organize fractures and to exploit utopias”, have highlighted in the presentation of Unification.

They have praised the “enormous capacity to mobilize” of the Feminist Movement in recent years and have said that the next strike is also on the same road: “We will take advantage of the potential and the explosion capacity of this strike that we are organizing to provoke and demand radical changes.” They claim that it is time to build “own utopias” and stress that they will make visible the “war they want to hide”, with a feminist revolution.

Operated by surveillance

In these times of “exacerbation of each of the vertices of the multiple crisis”, young women* warn that companies, public institutions and men have deepened the privatization and commercialization of care. They denounce that the area of care is a sphere of sexualized and racialized exploitation, and call upon them to face it: “We will plant the care imposed in the situation of exploitation”.

In fact, the care of women and their commodification have been defined as "a necessary instrument for the survival of the colonial cyisheteropatriarcal capitalist system": "It is produced and reproduced thanks to the exploitation of our bodies".
