The European Commission has warned that the number of speakers has fallen, distorting measures to facilitate care from the administration and that the presence of Galician in the education system is "insufficient".
The committee therefore recommends that the "restrictions" on the teaching of this language be removed "immediately", as Europe Press reported.
In fact, the results of the socio-linguistic analyses and the statistical data warn of the decrease of the speakers and ensure that the transmission of the language "is no longer guaranteed".
In particular, the document states that the presence of Galician in the educational system "is not enough, especially at the pre-school level".The report of the committee of experts attributes this fact to the decree of plurilingualism imposed by the government of the right, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, president of Galicia.
