Rector shows concern about Euneiz University
  • As a public university, the UPV/EHU is concerned about the opening of the private university Euneiz in Vitoria-Gasteiz, “but it is not a question of what the universities think, what opinion the people have, what model of the university system we want as a people”, said the UPV/EHU director, Eva Ferreira, at URL 0.

In this regard, Ferreira has stressed that this is not a conflict between universities, but the model we defend as a country. On the one hand, he referred to Euneiz’s academic project, referring to the assessment given by the Agency of the Basque University System – Euneiz has obtained a negative assessment in 4 of the 6 dimensions evaluated by this Agency. The Rector also expressed a second concern: “What does the incorporation into the university system of a private non-profit university in a country where funding is conditional on all universities?”

Interview with Eva Ferreira Eldiario.es, second head of the history of the UPV/EHU and that has been gathered by the witness of Nekane Balluerka. Among other things, they will talk about the protocols of the UPV to deal with male violence, about the progress of the university in the pandemic and the forecasts for this year.
