The controversial Euneiz University opens this Tuesday
  • The course has already begun at the private university Euneiz de Vitoria-Gasteiz (with 110 students), but this afternoon will be opened institutional with the presence of the mayor of Vitoria-Gasteiz, the deputy general of Álava and the representative of the Government of Spain. Since its inception, the European University of Vitoria has been controversial.

The Mayor, Gorka Uraran, the Deputy General, Ramiro González and the Spanish Government delegate, Denis Itxaso, will be next to him at the inauguration. So far, the private university has had the green light from the administration. Not in vain, Euneiz – and this is the case in the main media – seems to be a powerful alliance formed by the Baskonia-Alaves group of Josean Kerejeta, the City Hall of Vitoria-Gasteiz, the Council of Álava and the Basque Government, but the project has weaknesses and shadows, and this is what we have said in this ambitious report by Rubén Sánchez: Of all, but not of all.

Does this new university contribute? How does UPV/EHU affect public university? How many public subsidies and subsidies have been allocated to Euneiz? What is behind this project?... Both in the aforementioned report and in our channel dedicated to Euneiz, we have tried to answer these and more questions.
