This has been denounced by the Donostia-San Sebastian Citizen Reception Network, which has called for concrete measures for its implementation.
“Once again, the measures taken in the face of the crisis will harm the most vulnerable sectors of society,” the Network said. You have recalled that in Donostia-San Sebastián there are at least 100 people living on the street, but they are also in a similar situation of helplessness. They call on the City Hall, among other things, to make it possible for areas where people can sleep (such as those set in motion in winter), to ensure minimum hygiene and to be able to stay in daytime centres for these people, to be sent food and not to impose sanctions for being on the streets.
The Network has stressed that these are "minimum and urgent measures" and that the measure continues. They have also reported that they will ask for a meeting with the mayor, who has asked for permission.
