Muslims will also live Ramadama confined at home
  • For those who believe in a religion, these are times of celebration. After Holy Christian Week and Jewish Week, Thursday begins the Ramadan of Muslims, the new Muslim model. It is a celebration inspired by God, but it is often an opportunity for socialization. Now, the ban on leaving the house forces believers to organize themselves differently: from home and over the Internet.

The Holy Month of Muslims begins: from 23 March to 23 May, Muslims around the world will fast all day long for all who have not eaten when the sun goes down. But not only for fasting, but for praying and joining with neighbors and friends, although in this situation they will have to turn it around.

And so they've done, Muslim leaders have adapted to new technologies, and they've multiplied recommendations through Facebook and Twitter. They have asked the faithful to stay at home, which is another "challenge" that needs to be overcome. This year will be the Ramadama which has been held alone among those of the house.

Crisis in mosques

Mosques will be empty this year. One of Ramadam's conditions is to feed anyone who's fasting, and that's what they do in the mosque. Because of the current situation, they will not be able to approach mosques, but the Islamic Commission of the Spanish State has urged them to continue the ritual of giving food.

However, the fact that mosques are empty is a problem for some associations. In fact, the main income of these religious societies is the donations that believers make, and because they don't do rituals, they're not going to receive that money. Several mosques have had to send their workers to ERTE for lack of income.
