What is the current situation?
On Friday, June 23, he was transferred to Donostia, but is still in the Intensive Care Unit. According to the indications of traumatologists and doctors, the evolution is good, it is taking steps.
I did not see him in the two weeks prior to his transfer to San Sebastian and he was still in the process of awakening, trying to open his eyes. But on Saturday we saw it revitalized: he was able to make moves and he wants to participate in talks. Seeing that it is stable we are full of hope and above all satisfied.
It would have been a great blow to you, how did you experience it?
Yes, it is. No one is prepared to face a similar situation, no one expects it to happen. The first three weeks were very tense moments, we didn't know what was going to happen. Informing others of what happened, the displacement to the hospital in Burgos, is not easy. We asked ourselves a lot of questions and every time a medical note came from the hospital in Burgos we were moved by the trips.
Once the facts have been assimilated, the situation is different. Of course, knowing that it has stabilised, we are all very reassured.

What was the attitude of the Spanish Police and its media?
The relationship with the Sorians police and media has been timely. In the days after the attack, almost every day we went to the police station. We have had the feeling that they have tried to devalue the situation. At first they didn't listen to us. Apparently, there was a clash between supporters of the groups who got stuck and slightly injured. We had to submit the medical reports to inform them of what happened. So they started to investigate.
The truth is that we have little confidence in the police because they have been hair since the beginning. We've been at the police station several times, we've taught them several reports, and yet they asked us about Ion's name or questioned what Ion was doing in that match.
The Syrian media have had very little information. The only information that came to them was from the police. But when we got in touch with them, they found out what we were saying. For the information that has come to us, the police have denied them the information at all times on the grounds of breaching the data protection law.
Has anyone been arrested?
Four people were arrested, passed before the judge and released. We know that the police have started the investigation and that prosecutors have been appointed. That's the only information we have.
It is not yet possible to know what judicial route the attack is going to take, it cannot be predicted. Another man was beaten in the bar goal and his family asks for camera recordings from the police, but they answer that there is no recording. Apparently, the camera on both sides of this street and the cameras of some shops did not record anything that day.
"It is strange that at the time of the attack only one patrol has approached, and let us not say that the fascist attackers take refuge to the bus"
Was the attack coordinated?
I don't know that much. But it is surprising that, knowing that something could happen in a party of great gravity, little action has been taken when a major police operation is organised in any other party. In addition, the police itself said they knew that there were several teams gathering to go to that party.
It is also surprising that at the time of the attack a single patrol has approached and that the fascist attacker has protected it to the bus. Starting to think badly comes to mind ugly things.
How have you been protected from others?
Ion has been protected from the start by both her family and her friends and relatives. In general, we have received great support, the people around us are always ready to offer help. The peñas of the Real Sociedad have also helped us a great deal, for example, they have launched the collection.
The Basque media have received us in hand, they have always been prepared to account for what has happened, and that is to be welcomed.
The same cannot be said of politicians, because EH Bildu was the only political party that expressed its solidarity. The mayor and the other parties in Donostia have done nothing, I don't know if it can be lack of interest or what it can be.
From now on what?
The evolution of the process is unknown. We know, however, that the judicial process is going to involve significant costs, and as we intend to address this path, we have to prepare ourselves. In this sense, several football clubs have organised a collection, installed t-shirts in the bars of the Old.
On the other hand, you cannot know how Ion will evolve. That is why it will also be welcomed.
