The tip of the right expires in Iparralde and the PSOE in Hego Euskal Herria, EH Bildu and the collapsed PNV

In Lapurdi, Baja Navarra and Zuberoa the extreme right has been imposed. Among the peoples that have dominated the National Union are Baiona, Hendaia, Urepele, Sohüta, Donapaleu...

In Lapurdi, superiority has been almost absolute. Only three localities have not won the Le Pen match: In Biarritz and Basusarrin Renaissance by Emmanuel Macron has been the winner, and in Makean PS-Plaza Pública the socialist party. In all three, the National Union has remained, however, very close to victory.

In total, the National Union has obtained 29,515 votes; the PS-Plaza Pública 22,182; and Renaissanc 21,498. These are the three most voted by far. On the left, France Insumiso gets 7,366 votes. EH Bai decided in February not to participate in the elections.

By country, Lapurdi wins the National Union (25,363), PS-Plaza Pública second (19,345) and Renaissance third very close (18,742). In Baja Navarra the extreme right (2,946), the Rural Alliance of candidate Jean Lassalle, for the first time, to the European elections (2,394) and the third Renaissance (1,907), has been imposed with less difference. In Zuberoa the National Union (1,207), the Rural Alliance has achieved the second place close (1,131) and the third place of the PS-Plaza Pública (1,057).

PSOE in Hego Euskal Herria

300.178 PSOE votes in Navarre, Araba, Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa, 276.780 in the Republic, 202.791 in CEUS and 172.838 in PP. Vox (40.579) barely surpasses Sumar (38.487) and Podemos (36.124). The candidature, Fin da Festa de Albise Pérez, of the extreme right, has won 22,978 votes.

It is not easy to compare with the previous EU elections based on the number of votes, as the turnout in 2019 was higher because they coincided with other elections and the previous ones are ten years ago (2014). Yes, in 2019 the PNV was the clear winner (406.00), the second PSOE (306.00) and the third very close EH Bildu (300.00). The most striking aspect in this comparison is that the PNV has ranked third in the first position. As a percentage of votes, it goes from 27% to 17%. EH Bildu won the CAV-level elections (227,973). The Nationalist Party has been very close to the PSOE (225.278) and the PNV has gone further (194.594).

By country, in Navarre the PSOE (74,861) has won the PP victory (72,856), a sign that UPN voters have not gone to the PP in a generalized way. Now the third Republic (48,762). Vox gets 17,238 votes, a thousand times less than the sum of Sumar (10,017) and Podemos (8,394). The CEUS of the PNV shall be 8,230 votes.

In Álava it has also won the PSOE (36,280), following a strong coalition difference of the Current Republic (26,933), which has remained second. The PP (22,201) beat the PNV (19,122).

In the case of Bizkaia, the PSOE (122,087) has been advanced to the CEUS (117,784), which has not gone far in both cases (104,845).

In Gipuzkoa EH Bildu (96.133), the second PSOE (66.717) and the third PNV (57.626) beat by far.

As for the capitals, in Pamplona the PP (30.74%) has scored four points on the PSOE (26.24%), although it has not served to impose itself in the country. The third was Now the Republic (18.74%) and the fourth Vox, very far away (5.80%).

In the rest of the capitals of Hego Euskal Herria, PSOE has predominated.

In Vitoria, the PSOE (30.92%) has awarded 11 points to the PP. And EH Bildu is almost matched with the popular, leaving the PNV fourth to six points.

In Bilbao, PSOE also predominates (27.68%), in this case above the PNV (23.15%). The Republic has now achieved the third place (16.58 per cent) and the PP has remained very close (15.62 per cent).

In Donostia, finally, the PSOE (27.48%) has awarded four points to EH Bildu (23.84%). The PNV is the third (17.78%) and the PP remains close (15.13%).

Participation

Participation is slightly more than half of the citizens entitled to vote: In Lapurdi, the abstention rate was 46.50%, in Baja Navarra 45.00%, in Zuberoa 46.39%, in Navarra 47.23%, in Álava 50.14%, in Bizkaia 48.31% and in Gipuzkoa 49.90%.
