The regional networks of transformative economy are consolidating in the Basque Country, and in the region of Beterri-Buruntza have been working for three years on the "ant", a communication medium based in Lasarte-Oria, to create an ecosystem of companies, agents and institutions based on these values. This Thursday, in addition to making public the journey made, they have defined in Astigarraga their plans for the future.

The Beterri Saretuz initiative has performed an open event for its presentation, with the presence of mayors and representatives of the majority of the municipalities of the region, but also of Joseba Amondarain, Head of the Knowledge Promotion and Enterprise Service of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa. He says that the Administration is called upon to "listen, promote and learn" and in this sense congratulates Beterri on the work he has done so far. The Responsable Foral stresses that the transformative economy is a booming model that, in his opinion, "not only multiplies but grows exponentially".

It is precisely this network of Beterri-Buruntza that bears the motto Multiplying among themselves: “Together, we can go further and learn about, expand and multiply these existing projects and resources,” explains his colleague Maitane Barrenetxea.

One of the main novelties of this year have been the "exchanges of experiences", sessions to share knowledge among companies about job inclusion or organizational models. They have posted on their Youtube channel a video summary of them:

In addition, the website has been launched with a file of the agents that make up the network and the steps to follow if you want to join it.

Educational agents: from diagnosis to practical actions

For the coming year, Beterri Saretuze will continue to work on inter-cooperation and exchange with other transformative economic networks.

They also want to deepen their relationship with educational agents. This year they make a diagnosis to collect information and know the needs of the different educational centers in the region. With a view to the coming year, they want to go into practice with a didactic unit around the transformative social economy, or with the organization of a trade fair between vocational training centers, among others.

In short, it is “a network that wants to live, work and influence the region”, as explained by Beterri Saretuz, member of the coordination group Ainhoa Iribar, and have made it clear in the act of Astigarraga that he will continue to nourish and strengthen this ecosystem.
