The body of a man from Eskoriatza has been found at his home in the Intxaurtxueta district, as reported by the Department of Security of the Basque Government. The finding occurred at 11:00 a.m. on 12 July.

According to the Municipal Police, the man tested positive for coronavirus and has been monitored daily by telephone since then. However, he did not respond on Sunday, and when the firefighters and doctors went to check his condition, he was found dead.

The doctor has pointed out that death has occurred "from natural causes", research sources have told Europa Press. However, the Ertzaintza has opened an investigation to clarify the circumstances under which the event occurred.
