We ended the year 2020 with the demand for the importance of public services, that is, it became clear to us that public health is necessary for the well-being of our people. The members of the Platform by the Basque Public School in Bilbao want to go further: we have a strong and quality public education, and we want to express loud and clear that we are proud of it.

The schools in Bilbao offer a public education of Euskaldun proximity. The needs, needs that arise in the daily life of our sons and daughters… Having the opportunity to comment and clarify them with the teacher when we receive them at the school door at 16:30 in the afternoon is priceless. That our sons and daughters play and play in the neighborhood square with the friends of the school, that on weekends they go to the street and find their friends, that they know the entire school community and that they have the opportunity to participate… all this is priceless. Closeness is quality, but what is quality? Quality has nothing to do with the ingestion of contents and their repetition. The educational quality is to provide tools to immerse oneself in our new and plural society and that is precisely what the Basque public school offers: starting from a plural reality of the neighborhood and from an educational community involved, it offers a dignified education and equal opportunities for all individuals.
