A tough blow to the BSH workers in Esquiroz since Monday morning. The German leadership announced its intention to close its work centre in June 2025. From 10:30 onwards, representatives of the workers and those responsible for the Esquiroz work centre meet to report on the situation and to clarify how the closure process will be.
The threat of closure has already been on their heads since last year, but the worker has taken the decisions with surprise. Production has been halved since 2015, as BSH has allocated most of its production to its plants in Turkey and Poland. The Esquiroz plant stayed with state production, but in recent months the BSH also sells products from other workplaces at the state level.
The German leadership has announced in a statement its intention to close it, considering that "the Esquiroz plant has no competence at all".
