ESK lodges a complaint against Tapia for allocating protective equipment to companies and not to Osakidetza
  • The ESK trade union has denounced the Economic and Infrastructure Minister, Arantxa Tapia, at the Bilbao Guard Court on 25 March. In particular, what they have denounced is "denying aid", because the union understands that "these means have been put into the hands of legal entities that are not Osakidetza". ESK has demanded that "all available resources in companies be made available to public health".

The complaint is based on the statements made on March 18 by Councillor Arantxa Tapia at Euskadi Radio. According to the union, in the interview "Tapia pointed out that not all the resources available in the country will be made available to the Health Institutions as established by the SND/233/2020 of March 15. In their opinion, health equipment is being used in production rather than being made available to health administrations".

ESK denounces that "business benefit is put first to the health of society". Add: "It is absolutely contradictory that in some companies there is no lack of supplies of materials, such as costumes or gloves, and that at the same time there is a lack of them in hospitals, risking the health of our toilets."
