The concentrates have taken note of what happened in the concentration of support for prisoners called for on 17 December in Eibar. According to his words, “while we were in the rally, the ultra-right ‘journalist’ Cake Minuesa approached and began to stir up several people (…) He was pressured and expelled from the square. It was an immediate reaction, because no one has the right to break the concentration in favor of the prisoners (…) In these concentrations there is always a patrol of the Ertzaintza, except for that of 17 December. However, when Cake Minuesa left, we were about to continue the rally, when a Ertzaintza patrol appeared. One of us tried to explain what happened to the Ertzaines who were in the car, in Basque. The Ertzaines asked for the identification without any cause and responded that the citizens were asked to identify it in Basque. Then the Ertzainas asked him to speak in Spanish with them and, after asking the citizens to be repudiated in Basque, he was arrested against the car and arrested. When we see this, those attending the rally approached the police car to ask for explanations. Then, the two Ertzaines who were in the place ran down and attacked the people with their pores, telling them not to approach them. They were moments of great tension and at least two people we were there were wounded by the Ertzainas.”

They have explained that the detainee had to spend the night in jail and that the following morning he was released after making a statement at the court, where he was arrested. He is charged with a crime of sexual assault and sexual assault.

First of all, the members of the concentration have criticised “the impunity of Spanish fascism, which seems to them an unacceptable attempt to frustrate a demonstration with broad social support”. In addition, the Ertzainas have denounced the violation of their right to the language in which they are immersed: "We've seen clearly that's why he stopped. It is absolutely unfair for an ertzaina to require him to act in Spanish and, if he does not, to be arrested. Who will respond to this violation of rights?”

Finally, the agents of the Ertzaintza have denounced "the violence that has been perpetrated against the citizens".

“To respond to this injustice,” they called for a support rally on 22 December at Unzaga Plaza in Eibar.
