TALK OF ZUBIETA LANTZEN

Day: 19 November, Tuesday.

Time: 19:00.

Place: Crypt from the Old Part library of San Sebastian.

Rapporteur: Delegation of Zubieta Lantzene

Details: talk about the independent control of the infections of the incinerator. "Are official infection data credible?" ".

Organises: Movement against incineration.

Challenge met

It should be recalled that the Zubieta Lantzen Association, with the cooperation of the Dutch Toxicowatch Foundation, has launched an independent study to measure the pollutants from the incinerator. The first samples were collected in September before the incinerator was unleashed, in villages near it. If the incinerator is switched on, the intention is to continue to take samples each year and compare them with the data to be obtained in September.

Remember that the Anti-Incineration Movement also launched the crowdfunding campaign to finance independent control of incinerator pollutants. They wanted to raise a minimum of EUR 13,000, but in the end they have received twice as much money. EUR 26,384 until 9 November.

Do not forget that a line of research has been added to this initiative, proposed by Dutch researchers, and at the initiative of a group of women, breast milk control has been launched. "In response, 39 women from Usurbil, Lasarte-Oria and Andoain have offered their samples generously. The money collected will be used to cover the expenses generated at the stage that make up these works and what remains will be reserved for the later stages", announced from the Anti-Incinerator Movement.

They want to draw attention to the fact that "this is only the starting point of control, what researchers are now doing is marking the zero point to compare it with the new situation that will arise once incinerators are set up, if they put it in place. Therefore, the real information will be marked by future controls."
