With the help of giants and surrounded by children we present the book 'The Giant Adventure'
  • A great adventure. The children's book Salba dezagun kalejira has been specially presented by ARGIA, in the Gipuzkoan capital. Many children and parents gathered around the story of Gorka Bereziartua and Adur Larrea, and there was time for the party, for dancing, for storytelling and for drawing masks. See the event video and photo gallery below.

The comparison of the Gros neighborhood placed a couple of giants and the Txistularis. The event was inaugurated by themselves in Viteri Square. Before they started dancing, the giants were surrounded by a whirlwind of children. They all headed in a walkway, street by street, until they reached the Chofre Square. At the rhythm of the Txistularis, the giants who danced enthusiastically – or rather, the young men who led the giant – the quick turns provoked the applause, and there were many who wanted to photograph themselves together with the giants or who got into the skirt to explore the giants’ cavities.

Dozens of families met in Txofre, where the authors presented the book: Journalist and writer Gorka Bereziartua and illustrator Adur Larrea will tell us about their work and their trajectory. While Gorka Bereziartua, with the microphone in his hand, faked the story, Adur Larrea drew the story on the board. In front of them, a beautiful children's crew listened attentively.

Next, long queues were formed around the book's purchasing table, as everyone wanted the authors' signature, among them an illustrator figure. The authors worked and worked, as well as the smaller ones: the children painted and painted the images that Adur Larrea himself outlined to draw, cut and create mask from within (masks of the giants Braulia, Toro and Tartalo, and the head Caravinagre). Having seen the success, ARGIA will also bring the masks to the Durango Fair and to the other presentation acts of the book, to give them to those who buy the story.

Remember that the book is available at the Feria de la Luz. If you want more information, we have just published an interview with the authors: "Children learn magic and surprise more easily."

Then, the video made around the act and the photographs taken by the photographer Dani Blanco:
