The National Court will monitor Ernai’s act
  • The court has taken its decision in response to a complaint lodged by the UPN. The “Kurdistan and Basque Country political prisoners” event, organized on April 17 in Berriozar within the framework of the youth meeting, is what the UPN has tried to cancel on the grounds that it “humiliates the victims of terrorism”.

The UPN asked the City Council of Berriozar not to allow public space for the youth organization Ernai. The youth meeting will be held in Berriozar from 17 to 20 April. And the UPN argued that the "Kurdistan and Basque political prisoners" event, organized on April 17, "humiliates the victims of terrorism" to suspend the event.

Although the City Council of Berriozar rejected the UPN’s request, the National Court has ordered the supervision and monitoring of Ernai’s act “to verify the existence of a crime of exaltation or humiliation of the victims”.

The City Council of Berriozar approved the change of venue of the event because it was convened at the Francisco Casanova School of Music, but for the UPN it is not enough not to carry out this offensive event in a place dedicated to the memory of a victim.

He adds that the UPN, the National Court’s decision to spy on the event, shows that there is already evidence of a crime.
