The Xuhar popular platform appeared on Wednesday to denounce the statements of the Basque Government security advisor, Josu Erkoreka, regarding the incidents of the Tolosa carnival (Gipuzkoa). Accused of "campaign" to consider a 16-year-old boy injured by the projectile foam in the eye "burned", they ask him to recognize it as a victim. To denounce it and demand the change of the police model they have called for a mobilization on 16 March in Tolosa.

"Erkoreka said he was involved in the Xuhar conflicts. Recording everything that was happening when the face was covered and with those who were throwing the bottles," the popular platform said. They have denounced Erkoreka's attitude to questioning that the Ertzaintza has injured the young man and blamed the young man.

They have also criticized the councillor of the PNV of Villabona-Amasa (Gipuzkoa), Arantzazu Rojo, for the words spoken in a motion to denounce the Tolosa event and ask for clarification: "Xuhar has not been shot" and said other barbarities."

The platform has denounced that the police "intervene with impunity" and find "excuses" to justify them, and that all of this has its origin in the police model itself: "We want Xuhar to be recognized as a victim of police violence".
