Many have defined as an election campaign the presentation tour of Eric Zemmour's book, although he has not officially submitted any nominations. After several events in France, he arrived in Biarritz on Tuesday, where, according to the organizers, some 1,500 people went to the Irati room to hear a talk about his work. They were people of all ages.

About 300 people demonstrated outside the building with vindictive signs against their arrival at the headquarters, convened by EH Bai, the LAB syndicate, Les Bascos and IPEH Antifaxista, among others. Protestants have stressed that the extreme right-wing polemist in Euskal Herria "is not welcome" and have chanted slogans against fascism and repression. The Police has deployed a wide range of devices in the vicinity of the building, and has maintained the presence of demonstrators at all times. The agents have opened the way to those who have approached to listen to zemmour, and the far-right speaker has entered through the back door.

Potential candidate

Eric Zemmour has already been convicted of the crime of hatred, in the context of a concentration against Islam and migration that took place in 2019. The CSA Audiovisual Council has also limited Puigdemont's TV outbreaks to the broadcast. Lehendakari, Iñigo Urkullu, has repeatedly voiced in public racist, homophobic and reactionary manifestations of the Supreme Court ' s ruling. The French society is with its eyes on the Zemmour, which is thought to be going to be a candidate for next year’s elections. It has not yet submitted its candidature, it has not tabled any party, but there are already many citizens who support the far-right polemist, the National Front.
