The City Council of Pamplona presents the mobile application AgreStop/EraStop, an application to report sexist attacks at the moment, with the push of a button. Without sexist attacks, Iruña libre is one of the actions of the campaign, which, although it has been presented for Sanfermin, will be available throughout the year.
The Councilor for Citizen Security, Itziar Gómez, the area director, Xabier Ibáñez and the manager of MRSystem, Mikel Goñi, were present at the presentation of the resource, which Gómez has defined as "simple and intuitive".
Three options available to users
It has three buttons to deal with three situations: first, I'm suffering an attack; second, Report an attack; and third, Help me.
Thus, the first option is the "emergency button", which will send the geolocation directly to the Local Police so that they can assist the local police. Through the second option, Denounce an attack, any citizen can denounce any attack seen, through which they also want to pay attention to "citizen responsibility" from the city council, explains Gómez. The third option, Help me, can be launched back home and notify one or two contacts in the mobile phone book where the user is at all times, so if something happens, the contacts in the book call the local police.
Possibility of cancellation
If you want to report the attack but cancel it, you will have to enter the PIN number, because as soon as you report it the phone will be blocked, so that the attacker will not be able to cancel the warning. Therefore, it can only be cancelled by one.
The intention of the application is to denounce sexist attacks, but others can also be denounced.
