- 1.2 million people over the age of 14 have suffered at least one racist aggression a year in the French State, but only 2 per cent of the attacks are reported because of the difficulties it has to prove that it has been a victim. These are data from the National Advisory Commission on Human Rights.
The data of the independent committee have been submitted by the French Government. The only group that has not increased racist attacks has been the Jews. They stress that very few denounce it, because it is very difficult to prove that it has been a victim and that rejects a lot of people.
However, as Naiz has gathered, the committee’s final analysis has given the best levels of tolerance to the most minority since there are records. According to data from last year, tolerance of blacks is 80 per cent and that of Jews 79 per cent. Conversely, it is the Roma who are the least tolerated: 52%.
The main prejudices are that there are too many immigrants in France and that Islam is a threat to the identity of the country. Negative prejudices about Asians have also increased.
