The company Blue Viking Barbara from Denmark wants to install eleven wind turbines in the Commissions. The project would affect the ten municipalities: in Bizkaia, in Balmaseda, Arcentales, Sopuerta, Zalla, Güeñes, Alonsotegi, Arrigorriaga, Ugao and Basauri; and in Araba, in Okondo.
The company has requested administrative authorisation from the Basque Government, which will decide on the continuation of the project once the proposal has been studied.
Embodiments Wind Park No! The platform has denounced the “huge impact” of installing 200 meter wind turbines. Complaints from the platform have been made public early in the week following the publication in the Official Gazette of the request for administrative approval of the project.
