Pamplona will have a Women's House
  • Pamplona/Iruña has given the green light to the creation of the Women's House. It will be the first time that the city has such a space and for this the city will make an investment of almost 143,000 euros.

The Women's House will be created in the building that housed the conservatory Pablo Sarasate, on Aoiz Street No. 9. They shall adapt the building, taking particular account of its accessibility.

The building, conservatory of Pablo Sarasate, features on its first floor a hall of acts with 200 seats. It has a scenario of 181 square meters and 63 square meters. In addition, on this first floor there is an office and two small meeting points. There is also a music room: 47 square meters of space of 22 square meters for concierge, toilet and office service of 12 square meters. In addition, it has a space used by the British School, where five classrooms and two bathrooms are used.

The building located on Aoiz street, number 9, will from now on host the Women's House. This is especially a space for women and a space for feminist groups. It is a meeting place and work of associations and collectives. It will be the space that will be created for them to work as a network, moving from an individual to a collective way of acting.

The creation of the Casa de las Mujeres is an initiative framed in the Third Equality Plan 2019-2022 of the City of Pamplona.
