The presence of Elon Musk in the media advances like a rocket after landing in the garden of the White House. Other powers, apparently, have been altered by the power and influence it is acquiring, and to reduce its influence, have charged the X network. In recent weeks, media such as The Guardian or La Vanguardia and personalities from different areas have made public that they have emerged from the Network X of the Belgian capital. Old arguments have been put forward such as that Network X is toxic, that it serves to spread lies and messages of hatred, or that its owner uses it to condition the opinion of the populations. Trump’s triumph has made Musk’s role more than Moscow’s. How will we feed the net of this magnate full of vanity? We have been warned.

All types of messages, news and information are disseminated on the Network X. It can be used to launch revolutionary messages that have no place in the mass media, to bring to the world the testimonies of the genocide carried out by Zionism in Palestine, the actions of resistance, or to disseminate in-depth data on any subject. It can serve to spread fascist, macho and supremacist messages, organize falsehood campaigns against groups and governments, go against scientific evidence, defame people or recommend anti-health practices. And instead of focusing on juicy readings, Red X can help you waste your time with nonsense face to face. Probably the most frequent practice.

The X network is in the hands of one of the richest people in the world, yes. Almost 600 million users and, not directly, millions more people dancing on the algorithms of the network. But, in addition to social networks, that most of the information/disinformation that comes to us is in the hands of Vocento, Grupo Noticias, Ura, Planeta, Atresmedia or Mediaset is that BBVA, the investment fund Amber Capital, the Ybarra family and other large economic groups. They're not as media and impulsive as Elon Musk, but they're no less dangerous.

Many messages of hatred and stigmatization spread across the X network, yes. Many of them are against oppressed groups. Also from the main media, both public and private, are gathering in our daily lives. Criminalisation against what calls power relations into question. The justification for violent repression against those who, in an organised and effective manner, shake the foundations of the system. They show complete agreement on the terminology of channelling hatred, which is beyond question: the terrorist. It does not matter whether the various Palestinian resistance organisations, the PKK or the armed organizations and the broader movements for national and social liberation that have existed and exist today. And in the case of an invincible state, the nickname of “regime”: Venezuela, Cuba, Iran, North Korea… Naturally, they send us a message of simple and resounding hatred against our enemies. They don’t need to pick up the “like” as they enter our mobiles, TVs and radios at all times.
And what to say about so many messages sent in response to the readers of those media that seem serious, burdened with ignorance, prejudice and hatred.

Through the X network lies are spread and multiplied, intentionality and impunity, yes. Famous algorithms are not neutral, of course, but big media also have their procedures to bring our attention to where they want and to influence our emotions. Is not the concealment of some realities, the manipulation of others and the correct generation of falsehoods part of the media? It's usually not going to be so abrupt, so sudden, so conspiratorial, so obvious. Disfigurement will develop in a deeper and more professional way, applying the knowledge of mass psychology and journalism. Sometimes, manipulation becomes apparent, but once its effect has been achieved. In 2011, the crowd’s occupation of the Green Square of Tripoli led to the fall of the Gaddafi government. Later it was found that these images had been recorded in Qatar, on a stage created and with actors. The images didn't spread through Twitter, but through Al Jazeera. Here and there, how many “news”, reports, columns of opinion have been prepared after meeting senior police officials, policymakers and businessmen…

The Network X is also a field of influence for the negationists. They say there's nothing like that in serious media. For decades, we have been denied police torture. They also deny us that justice is subordinate to political, police or economic interests. And we are also denied the existence of the right to self-determination in Euskal Herria and in so many peoples of the world, because that right does not exist... We have suffered negationism since birth.

The need for information from the peoples of the world and the working class is not in line with the interests of Elon Musk, nor with those of the elites behind the mainstream media. The truth is that the latter are losing the supremacy of lying.
