The institutional LABI has met today and from Saturday the measures taken in Araba, Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa in relation to COVID-19 will be made more flexible. Bars may remain open until 2:00 a.m. and cultural activities should end at that time. As far as hospitality is concerned, six people can be gathered in and out of each table.
The gastronomic and Txokos companies, closed since October, will be able to reopen their doors with a capacity of 50% and between 9:00 and 2:00 in the morning. However, nightlife will remain closed. In addition, in sporting events the Basque Government will also authorise viewers with limited capacity, as reported by the Basque Executive.
The measures announced today are as follows:
- The closing hours of activities shall be extended until 2 p.m. Overall, the capacity limit will be 60%.
- For any type of social, cultural or sports event, the maximum number will be 600 people inside and 800 people outside. In enclosures with a capacity of between 1,600 and 5,000 people, the maximum extends to 800 people indoors and 1,200 in the exterior.En facilities with a capacity greater than 5,000 people, the maximum capacity will be 30%.
- In the hospitality industry, six people are allowed to meet each table, both outdoors and indoors. Internal capacity will be maintained at 50%.
- Txokos and gastronomic societies can be opened with the same criteria as the hospitality industry. The capacity will have a limit of 50% and will be opened from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- In cultural, tourist or natural outdoor visits groups will be able to bring together 20 personas.En people.
- Indoor sports activities may be structured into groups of 10 persons. The capacity in the locker rooms will increase to 50%. School sports competitions shall be authorised for summer championships.
