Waves of solidarity
  • Today we are entering a wave of musical solidarity. The great protagonists will be Angela, a young Gasteiztarra, and her friends, but they will not be alone. They will be accompanied by Gari, Libe, Anari and Jon Basaguren, and will be accompanied by the hundreds of solidarity assistants who have approached the Jimmy Jazz room of the Alavesa capital.

Under the motto Sé Yo, the festival organized by the association Leocadia Zabalate aims to investigate and bring to light degenerative diseases that tend to accumulate excessive iron in the brain. These diseases mercilessly catch the patient and the life of his family and friends. Life expectancy is reduced by condemning absolute dependence and early death.

Libe has started an appointment with the objective of celebrating the best of the sweet moments that occur in life. He's barefoot up on stage and fascinated us with his piano and his unparalleled voice. Emotions have taken the singer and they have sung to us the version of a song by Gari that tried to contain tears.

After him, the former Hertzainak singer, who has just released a record, has gone up on stage. It has a guitar in its hands, and some electronic bases help the voice of the soloist. Anari brings us closer to the center of the four-song concert collection. She also accompanies the guitar and, after the song Oreinak, offers us the song Ekaitzen bila by Izaki Gardenak, accompanied by the choirs of Libe.

It is now the turn of Jon Basaguren, who after playing two songs from his last album, Dena Oskol, thanked the organization. He has praised the work they do every day and has addressed Angela and the wheelchair companions who were on the front line, full of emotion. Basaguren has put an end to the performance with the country version of the song Libere Bidea.

Not to forget the memories of tonight, which has been exhilarating, you've taken a very big picture of the stage. For a few hours, we've been immersed in the lives of Angela and her friends and we've been them. A force that can create a tsunami of solidarity with small waves that provokes an earthquake in the hearts of Angela and her friends.
