“2017. Since 2012 we have committed to mutual assistance in our collective,” the collective pointed out in the opinion article submitted to ARGIA on the eve of the anniversary. The network aims to multiply the forces to deal with the “System of Domination”, which combines capitalism, patriarchy and colonialism. Mutual aid networks such as yours, the Gaztetxeak or the housing unions, are seen as tools for “building conflict and organization”.

In addition to formal organizations, network members emphasize informal spaces and forms: “Historically, society has built its affective and economic relations through the network of solidarity and associative informality, beyond the forms of commodification and bureaucratization.” Place your gaze on a daily basis rather than on the epicity: “The promotion of complicity is fundamental for the militancy, rather than a continuous sacrifice, to be integrated into a normalcy, to order the day to day, giving it another way.”

Collaboration Week

“The tipping points feed all of this, and that’s where we’ve come from the Mutual Help Week that we’ve organized so that the above ideas explode for a week, from 20 to 26 June, dedicating every day to one of the political lines that we work on a day-to-day basis,” they explain. Round tables, workshops, concerts, games, neighborhood work or meals have been organised and all citizens have been invited.
