- The Association for Organic Agriculture Biolur is 30 years old. To celebrate it he organized a party on Sunday 9 July in the fronton of Iraeta de Zestoa. They have published their reading "Before proposals that prioritize only the interests of capital through artificial food" and they will take advantage of the festival to present to the citizens the Amillubi project they have in their hands. Therefore, all the agents, institutions and citizens who are committed to the food sovereignty of Euskal Herria have been called.
Biolur recalls its first steps in 1993: "Those beginnings were times of many doubts and prejudices, of little help, in which ecological awareness remains very scarce. Stimulated by the desire and satisfaction to do things differently from an ethical beginning, they took a step without a network and became a model the members that founded Biolur".
Today, Biolur is composed of over 300 members who want to meet at this party to "celebrate recognition, joy and illusion, because we have important projects in hand as well as the team and the force to land."
Versus artificial foods
As an agent of the agroecological movement, Biolur has published the following reading: "In the context of the ecological crisis we are currently experiencing and in the face of proposals that only prioritize the interests of capital through artificial food, we wish to express our commitment to building desirable futures, and we wish to underline the need for short-, medium- and long-term actions and strategies. We consider it essential that these strategies be fair, liberating and vivid for all. To this end, one of the main lines of work is the construction of a sustainable and prosperous future with all the agents, institutions and citizens in favor of food sovereignty and agricultural ecology, both in Gipuzkoa and in the Basque Country, from the network and agroecological action. We appeal to this line.
Feast of Biolur on July 9 at the fronton of Iraeta
The 30th anniversary festival of Biolur will be held on Sunday 9 July in the fronton of Iraeta. At 12:30 a visit will be made to the Amillubi Txiki farmhouse where the "important project" that Biolur has to face the future will be explained.
Then, at 14:00 there will be an act of celebration in the fronton of Iraeta, followed by a meal. At 16:30 the pediment will be amenities by the Monsanto Kilombo group.
