Only two of the workers who are working on the works of the sports club are workers of the companies that run the work (Acciona and Altuna and Uria), who are precisely the director and the person responsible for the work. The rest work through the subcontractors, and some work 52 hours from Monday to Friday. ELA has also denounced that it is charging 40% less than the Bizkaia provincial convention.
In addition, the company has a debt of about 9,000 euros to restaurants and accommodations where employees ate and sleep among their workers. The accommodation, due to the high debt that the company maintained with it, dismissed the workers. Now, the workers live on a rental floor. The union has pointed out that the company has an obligation to pay the workers' expenses and, if not, it has to provide, in addition to the salary, money to meet these expenses.
The union has described the conditions as "unacceptable" and has addressed the mayor of the city, Eneko Goia, asking him to take any action in this regard. Indeed, ELA wished to stress that compliance with the Gipuzkoa Convention is mandatory.
