The programme of cross-border cooperation Aquitaine.eus launched in 2016 aims to promote the mobility and dissemination of cultural agents from Ipar Euskal Herria, the Basque Country and Navarre. Thanks to this collaboration, numerous projects and collaborations have been created in recent years in the field of spectacularity, literature or visual arts.

This autumn, in order to celebrate the richness and dynamism of Basque cinema, in collaboration with the Utopia de Bordeaux cinema, the Basque Cultural Institute offers a two-day approach within this collaborative programme:

  • November 4, 20:15 – Presentation of the book Euskal zinema: three generations of filmmakers with Joxean Fernández, director of the Basque Film Library. Next, screening and meeting with the author of the film Oreina by Koldo Almandoz
  • November 6, 14:30 – Screening and meeting with the author of the film Zumiriki by Oskar Alegria
