Of the nearly a thousand workers in the EiTB Group, 412 have responded to the survey. One of the most noteworthy facts is the opinion of workers on information policy. 74.4% of the workers considered that the information provided by the group was in favor of the Basque Government, compared to 16.1% who did not consider it this way.

The survey also includes questions on issues related to democracy and internal organization in the Basque Country. At present, EITB’s management is elected by the Basque Parliament by an absolute majority. On the contrary, most of the workers surveyed opt for a different model. 61.2% believe that “EITB and industry professionals” should choose a space consisting of trade unions, political parties and civil society movements. In favor of maintaining the current model, 13.6% is shown.

About Euskera

According to the results of the survey, EITB is a “strategic instrument” for the defense of Euskera among the workers of the group. In general, the workers consider it appropriate to have a television channel in Basque and another in Spanish. But in ETB2 in Spanish they have also advocated giving more presence to the Basque: the use of the Basque language more often, accompanied by subtitles in Spanish, would be “very good” according to 46% of the workers; “good” for 27.2%; “quite bad” for 13.8%; and “very bad” for 5.8%. Another question that has been asked was the possibility that ETB2 and Radio Euskadi broadcast programs in Basque "in whole or in part". 35.4% would see “very good”, 26.2% “quite good”, 19.4% “quite bad” and 10.4% “very bad”.
