  • The local producer of Laudio was due to appear in an ETB-2 session, but he took the t-shirt with the slogan "Altsasucos free, no police montage" to the recording and, in the end, they did not receive their statements.

Last week the local producer of Laudio, Juan Angel Lekanda, had an appointment with a famous ETB-2 program. "I don't want to say his name because the producers are not to blame, because it was the decision of the management of the EITB," he explains.

The program is broadcast throughout the week and is linked to gastronomy, of course. The Laudioan had to talk about his activity. On that day, Lekanda decided to wear a t-shirt with a slogan in favor of the defendants in Altsasu, and the workers of the production company informed him that the EITB did not allow them to receive such things.

The local producer, for his part, replied that he did not intend to withdraw it. Finally, the members of the production company contacted the EITB and the public entity decided not to make the recording of Juan Angel Lekanda.

The Laudioan describes what happened as censorship: "I would understand if my clothes - xenophobic, for example - spread a message of hatred, but the shirt only expresses what a large part of Basque society denounces".

Aiaraldea.eus contacted EITB to release its version but, for the moment, there was no response.
