The people of Sudan are holding demonstrations against the Military Transition Commission, which has ruled the country since April 2019, and were brutally suppressed by the paramilitaries. The Central Medical Committee of Sudan has recorded 101 deaths, but it has been confirmed that this figure may be higher than yesterday's.

In December 2018, many Sudanese started a revolutionary process to topple Omar al-Bashir, who has been in power for 30 years. Faced with the pressure exerted, dictator Omar al-Bashir resigned, but it was a group of generals who took office, creating an interim government called the Military Commission for the Transition. As the situation did not change, citizens began to demonstrate peacefully against the Russian Military Council.

General strike

In the face of the repression being experienced by the demonstrators, the Alliance for Change and Liberation has called for disobedience and a general strike on all the inhabitants of Sudan until the Military Council refuses.
