- Tomorrow, Thursday, and on 9 and 10, military manoeuvres will be carried out in the shooting range of the Royal Bardenas. The Bardeak Libre platform has denounced these manoeuvres in the construction of a bird nest in the Urduliz area.
The group against the shooting polygon has two concentrations, the Bardenas for the town! Under the motto: on Thursday in the Plaza Mames Esperabe de Ejea de los Caballeros (Aragon); and on Friday in Pamplona, in front of the government delegation (19:00 hours).
Some closed access for visitors
On 31 January the Community of Bardenas announced the closure of some accesses to the Park from February with the aim of preserving "the most emblematic species" of the Bardenas, in the midst of the breeding season. "Visitors have to understand that this is a decision that is made with the intention of conserving species," he explained.
Now, however, they have announced new manoeuvres. Opponents have asked the Community whether these manoeuvres do not endanger bird species. They have also asked the institutions to start taking steps to demolish military installations, for the sake of the neighbours and the animals and plants of the Bardenas.
