The Durango Fair and the BBK have appeared this Wednesday morning in the BBK Hall of the Biscay capital. Through it they have presented the DA of the Durango Fair this year. Meeting point for professional creators PRO. BEÑAT Gaztelurrutia, Gerediaga Elkartea, and Koldo Bilbao, head of Culture at BBK, have advanced that DA is already on its way. PRO comes with novelties. "We wanted to go deeper into the road started three years ago, DA! Giving a stronger boost to PRO. We want to create a meeting point with the creators to get in touch with the professionals in this field and analyze the possibility of creating new projects in the future," said Gaztelurrutia.

The DA program! This year PRO goes from being a one-day project to a four-day meeting point. Even if it is based only on music, it will go on to internalize various disciplines. The meeting, aimed at cultural professionals, will begin on the eve of the Durango Fair, which will be held between 1 and 4 December. In the words of Gaztelurrutia, "we want to offer professionals a wider space. To publicize their new projects, to establish marketing channels, to analyse what can be the useful means for them, to promote relations between creators and professionals in the sector...".

Comprehensive programme

The four-day programme has been organized by themes. On the first day, "continuing the path begun in the previous two years", musicians will have the opportunity to present their musical projects. The requirement to participate is that the project be in Basque and priority will be given to those projects that have published some work this year and that participate in the Durango Fair. From 2 November onwards, musicians wishing to present their works will be able to register on the website www.durangokoazoka.eus.

On the second day, the leading role will be in small-format family shows and workshops. Like musicians, the creators of this sector will be able to present their work and registration will be possible from 2 November.

On December 3, from Literature to Cinema: What does a novel need to turn it into a movie? organised a conference cycle and a round table. The organizers have made progress on what will be done in them: "Can any literary work be adapted to an audiovisual format? What criteria does a producer take into account when betting on a literary work? Writers, screenwriters, film directors and producers will participate in this whole process." It will be possible to participate as a spectator in these activities, but to do so it will be essential to register as of 2 November.

The last day, coinciding with the opening of the Durango Fair, a colloquium will be held in Landako Gunea on the means for the creators to make their professional journey. They will talk about copyright, communication and contracting with the Basque Cultural Association EKKI, communication consultant Amaia Ocerin and Miriam Miranda, member of the Association of Musicians of the Basque Country.

DA! This whole program of PRO meetings will be developed in different parts of Durango, such as: In San Agustin Kultur Gunea, in the Bizenta Mogel Library, in the Zugaza Film and in the Landako space. Participation will be free of charge, although registration will be required.
