It is known that the Basque country still has a long way to go in Vocational Training. The union denounces that the public offer of Vocational Training does not comply with the articles to guarantee the Basque Country, which is included in the Law of Vocational Training, and considers that the competition for the consolidation of the job requires all Basques the necessary step to euskaldunify this area.

“The Vocational Training plans published by the government do not include a strategy to strengthen the Basque country and the offer of model A is to a large extent the most important,” LAB recalls.

Exclusion of Euskaldun teachers

The union says that professors from Euskaldunes are excluded, who in the case of career officials know Euskera in addition to Spanish and therefore 2. Because the professors who occupy the Linguistic Profile positions are “second-grade professors”, they only know Spanish and therefore 1. To those with a Linguistic Profile. Although they can teach their classes in both Basque and Spanish, “in this year’s transfer competition they have not been offered, for the time being, that they have been kept secret and reserved only for non-Vasco-speaking professors”.
