The CAV Department of Education does not join the Spanish Government School Return Plan
  • In the meeting held with the Ministers of Education of the Autonomous Communities of the Spanish State, the Government of Sánchez has presented a plan of points in which the consensus has been almost total and that Navarra has also given its approval, not so the Department of Education of the CAV, which has argued that "competition" is his.

The protocol, outlined by the Government of Spain, contains a total of 23 measures and 5 recommendations. Among other things, the need to bring masacas from the age of 6 years, keep windows open, prioritize outdoor activities, wash hands... The document also explains how action would be taken in the event of a positive outcome, but does not detail the conciliation measures.

Education counselor Nekane Murga has abstained from voting to approve the plan, arguing that their responsibility for education is their "competence", without going into the content. According to sources from the Basque Department of Education, members of the Civil Protection Plan (LABI) commission met this Friday to explain all the details of the return programme.

Both the Government of Spain and the Basque Government and the Government of Navarre have set as their objective that classroom classes be present in the new course. Trade unions, teachers and social partners have called for better conditions for this to be the case, among other things, for lower classroom ratios.
