INPRIMATU
E9, before voting ...
Joan Mari Beloki 2024ko ekainaren 05

We are called upon to vote for the renewal of the European Parliament on 9 June. It's not a matter of joking or frivolization. It is an institution that conditions our lives, because it is home to a lot of money and a lot of laws and regulations are laid down. It is therefore appropriate to point out some important criteria that we should take into account before deciding who to vote for.

Illustrative example of Meloni

The autonomy of the European States is decreasing, as more and more powers are being delegated to the European institutions. This weakening of the sovereignty of the States underlines the importance of this Parliament. These days we hear all over the place that the tip of the right is the worst opponent, that is very strengthened in the elections and that if the European institutions are involved they could jeopardise many freedoms. Those who say so will recall that the Italian Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, said horrible until they won the elections and that since the day when he was appointed for that office in October 2022, he is faithfully complying with all the rules laid down in Europe, without saying anything against it. And he said that he was or is the ultra largest in Europe. As French Marine Le Pen did before. The rest of the ultrathin that today bark and move in Europe will follow the same path, of course, by saying the big ones of today and faithfully following the path marked by the true prescribers of humility tomorrow. Those thieves who are fearless.

The enemy is transnational capital.
We have to work on the construction of a new project that improves the living conditions of the citizens and brings together the whole of Europe, from Lisbon to Moscow.

Who is really driving in Europe? Mandan Ursula von der Leyen, Josep Borrell and Charles Michel? Or the transnational capital that moves all the strands behind it? Today, it's hard to question that transnational corporations govern both around the world and in the United States and in western Europe. For us, they have no face, but they are there. So, little fear of the extreme right and much fear of those faceless who want ever larger and more powerful institutions. Today’s European Union is a corporate elites project that supports its huge economic interests. They want to use Europe as a single state, avoiding the sovereignty of the states. Because it's very easy for them to bend into their hands slaves like Von der Leyen. The most effective bet for dealing with these true leaders is the division of the whole of Europe into numerous sovereign areas. This challenge is perfectly framed in the need for nations like Euskal Herria to have their own state. We citizens must fight this EU. We have to work on the construction of a new project that will improve the living conditions of the citizens and that will bring the whole of Europe together, from Lisbon to Moscow. This project is based on strategic autonomy and decentralization that will free us from the dependence of the yankis. Making decisions near the population is a strategic weapon for modest citizens.

The war in Ukraine, the biggest problem in Europe

These faceless people that we have just mentioned are the ones who are working on designing, organizing and leading the biggest conflict that we have in Europe at this time of emergency. The conflict in Ukraine is now the biggest problem in Europe. Hundreds of thousands of deaths, thousands of mutilated and disappeared, millions of refugees, thousands of homes destroyed… have left this state without a future and a life full of uncertainties and dangers to millions of people. A statue affected by corruption was easily used to hit Russia. And now, although in the elections politicians do not want to speak seriously and in depth about this, we citizens have to scream out loud that this is the biggest issue we have today in Europe. The remoteness of Ukraine and the discomfort of war as an interlocutor are not valuable reasons for maintaining secrecy in these elections. If the Ukrainian negotiating table is to be set up as soon as possible, it must be a priority challenge for all Europeans.

More than promoting peace, war

The harshness of this war has emptied the arsenals of all members of the European Union. Because all the Member States have acted to harden the war. Somewhere it is easier to fight against Russia than to wager on building a peaceful environment in Europe. If someone does not leave me, there are only four presidents who have made a clear public call to end or stop that war: The Hungarian Viktor Orban, the Serbian Aleksandar Vucic, the Italian Giorgia Meloni and the Slovak Robert Fico, after receiving four shots that are still being kept in hospital, incidentally after a public appeal to Ukraine not to give him any more weapons. Meanwhile, this very week the Spanish President, Pedro Sánchez, has given Zelenski EUR 1.130 million – EUR 11 billion in these two years – and has pledged another EUR 5 billion for the coming years. Spain and its president are reviving war rather than building peace. That contrast! The supposedly most progressive government of all time is pushing the war, as they call Orban and Melon, presumably outsiders on the right, to end or bring down the war.

Living risk of spreading war across Europe

Many presidents of Western Europe want to make a big leap in this war. After a thousand provocations to Russia, Vladimir Putin’s strategic patience means that the war has not broken out across Europe. But the day will come. The Russian region of Belgorov is being bombarded daily with British and French missiles. They are causing many civilian deaths and although Russia has not yet declared "casus belli" (cause of war), this situation could not last long. Furthermore, Russian strategic radars, designed to detect nuclear missiles, have been twice bombed, despite the fact that these attacks are contained in Russia ' s nuclear doctrine as grounds for the use of nuclear weapons. The presidents of Macron and Suna are driving the nuclear conflict and the Russian authorities are warning of this danger. While our politicians look at those with the extreme right label, as if those clowns were the biggest problem in Europe.

NATO Derribo

When the Soviet Union was dissolved in 1990, NATO would have to dissolve with it. But the imperialist Yanki opted to keep Europe under control. Instead of toppling NATO, the organisation expanded eastward, increasing pressure on Russia. The last step was to want to get Ukraine in and… the conclusions are in sight. The organisation set up to defend itself against possible Soviet attacks has today become a devastating machine against Russia. This monster that remains in war must be brought down. And until this is done, we have to demand that the citizens get us out of it.

No to the extension of money for the purchase of arms

In recent months, the EU President is taking steps to refill the empty arsenals. Spain is complying honestly with demon and has already increased its military spending from 1.75% to 2.5% of GDP and is ready to increase to 3-4%. Where will that money come from? From places that we all know well: pension increases will end, children will have fewer teachers and equipment in schools, hospitals will increase the waiting lists of citizens, social services budgets will decrease...

Some criteria for reflection before voting on 9 June.
