- Among the news that will be put for sale at the Durango Fair this year, 40 have been produced in Lapurdi, Baja Navarra or Zuberoa. The organization of the Fair has highlighted that about 10% of Durango's novelties are from Iparralde.
In 2006, the association Gerediaga and Euskal Kultur Erakundea (EKE), which organizes the Durango Fair, saw the need to make more visible the productions of Ipar Euskal Herria in the fair and since then special work is done to highlight the creations of Lapurdi, Nafarroa Beherea and Zuberoa.
As for this year’s edition, the cultural structures of Ipar Euskal Herria will have nine stands at the Fair and in total will bring 23 books, 3 book albums and 13 new albums to the Plaza de la Cultura Vasca, in addition to the Seaska calendar that has become known in all the houses of Euskal Herria.
In relation to these new developments, 9 cultural events will be held in Durango from 5 to 8 December, of which four will be presentations, four concerts and a screening.
