The City Hall of Donostia-San Sebastian has placed conditions for the actions to be carried out on the street. These conditions make the presence of artists on the street in the Old Part impossible. New developments are part of the new municipal regulations.

Street artists may not stay in the same place for more than one hour and must act at a given time: from 11.00 to 14.00 and from 16.00 to 22.00. Two musicians shall be allowed to play one hour on the street without the need to process a permit, upon presentation of a responsible statement, committing to comply with the established rules.

There are some adjustments. For example, when they only operate one or two pieces, they will not need permission and they will be able to play on the street for an hour without having to process the permission. They must submit a prior declaration that the City Hall is committed to compliance with the established rules.

The new regulations set out the criteria added by the situation of COVID-19. For example, viewers must be at a minimum distance of three metres and avoid agglomerations.

Artists who wish to take action on the streets of Donostia-San Sebastian will have the deadline of 11 July to present their "responsible statements".
